On my trusty unmodded EL set, I've FC'd 9 songs and gotten dozens of gold stars. But I can't keep a streak going on the Ion to save my life. And I get serious blisters on my ring and pinky fingers. My best guess as to what's happening is, the sticks are bouncing back and hitting the pads a second time. So maybe with a little practice, the Ion kit would work out better. I'm not going to rush out and get one, though. I played on an Ion kit, and I was surprised to find that I didn’t like it very much.
