Guitar Hero series is available for ps2 also and ps2 does not have a hard disk to save downloads in it -> there is a serious need to include the songs on the disks. Gh did start on ps2 platform only…

Good to see I’m not the only one who wonders why Activision doesn’t do the logical thing and steal Rock Bands integrated song platform idea too. I can play a lot of the songs off this list (both songs that will and won’t be in Smash Hits) in Rock Band right now.

Wow, a new game to buy just to play a couple golden oldies = the reason I pay little attention to the GH series. It’s nice to see the re-release of these songs, but having to buy and play a whole new disc is silly. These songs should be DLC or an exportable track pack, compatible with GHWT (or is GH:M the new standard?). Then there’s the case of not every song being golden. I’d much rather stick with the music platform of RB, where you can pick and choose which songs you’re willing to spend money on. I wish Activision would embrace that notion for the GH series. As it is, I don’t feel the need to buy 5 different games just to play the variety of songs I like.

So most of the songs I like (as opposed to tolerate to get thru the tour) are already avaliable in Rock Band as DLC, and my ION Drum Rocker will get dumbed-down charts in GH (at least they did in GH:WT; dunno about GH:Metallica) so what’s the upside… and I have to swap discs?!?

Oh man, I read that list and got all exited. Then I realized that only the green ones were included. I thought they were ALL gonna be on there, and that maybe those were the only ones you could find links for.

I agree, the choices from 2 and 3 suck. They left out so many great ones in favor of mediocre ones :/

Well, but some songs still rock, so i’m waiting for this game! Hoping that they will do a good job for PS2 :P!
