I'd just like to add that it's not the timing window that really makes it hard.
It's the fact that songs like thrasher etc. are very close to going as fast as the engine can. if you play one note too fast you'll often miss due to the fact that it can't register it.

Timing window is a bitch too, but when the engine just can't handle the speed it makes it waaay harder. Most of the songs with quick and fast strumming things like triplets I have to strum in my own rhythm.

Oh, Jack. You're SO adorable when you get all huffy and irrationally self-righteous. Come on - I'll take you to your clarinet lesson, so you can stop messing up "Hot Cross Buns" and start feeling like a "real" musician, m'kay hun? It'll be fun! :D

Dude. It's a game. We know. Quit trying to ruin our fun, 'cause it'll never work.

I agree with Thrasher. The consistency and concentration required to not mess up post Solo 1 is unobtainable for the average person.

I disagree about TDWDTG being the "other" impossibly hard song. There are perhaps 2/3 hard parts in the song - fast strummy part in the beginning, Verse 4, and Victory Solo G). It is still in the top 10 most difficult songs to FC of all time, however.

I would say that Green Grass and High Tides is the other "impossible" song. It is long, it uses the RB/2 timing window, and has _several_ extremely hard parts to consistent hit. That FC was done by UKOG as well. =D

Wow. A bunch of grown men playing with their plastic toys (when they're not playing with themselves). No wonder real musicians laugh at you faggots and your little video games.

@Jeff - this is very true - I must admit, personally I have actually not even found the song (I will go look for it now giving a whack at it - not for FCing purposes though :p) - is this a DLC of some sort?

But yes - RB/RB2 has gotten incredibly tight timings and I even fail at strumming most basic sections in it. I have to say though, I usually find it easier to drum on RB - probably cause there's no separate timing windows for double notes, which can make you play out of time while still hitting the notes in GH and be kind of hard to stop - hence making you be completely out of rhythm.

My main point of the previous post though simply was that other RB songs actually has way more complex sections just as far as looking at them, like say Green grass and high tides (it's not got *that* much complex sections, but there's a whole lot of semi complex stuff), painkiller and so forth.

Either way, off to find trasher ;)

I agree with the above. The timing is completely different in RB/RB2 and the solos are very unforgiving. Put almost all of the rockband(2) songs onto a GH disc and I'm fairly sure it will come out more easily FC'able or at least passable, just due to the timing issues with rockband. Not to say that GH is easy because there are songs on there that boggle my mind.

Hmm, yeah, but it's gone un-FCed all this time. I doubt that was for lack of skilled players taking a crack at it.

RB has much tighter timings, and I think that's the deciding factor here.

To be completely honest Trasher doesn't look THAT hard of a song to me - I mean, honestly it's not easy and it is hard, but I think other songs such as Slash battle, One (GH III version) and Through the Fire and Flames are much harder to FC (one, purely for Fast Solo A).

Trasher will naturally be worse though due to the fact that it's on Rock Band and not Guitar Hero, but still, most of it was just strumming and a few fast double chords.
