Personally, I prefer the Les Paul to the World Tour guitar. Though I've only played the World Tour guitar a couple times, every single time it feels awkward. I own a Les Paul, so I must be more adjusted to it. Makes the GH5 guitar sound easier to play.

The WT guitar's springs are excessively noisy, at least on the 2 i've had. I tried to put some WD40 on my first one and it quieted it down but not too longer completely stopped working! The whammy is also noisy because it will hit the body of the guitar when you use it. I didn't buy the GH5 guitar because it was an extra $50 over the price of the game. Although I'd like to try it, your review makes me think there was no point in making the purchase. Thanks

GH5 in the netherlands doesn't either. I knew there was a new guitar and that's why I bought the guitar kit. I just got another GH:WT guitar tho. At first I thought there might be an internal difference but now I see this clearly isn't the case.

There's no such thing as too much detail!! I'm a junkie for modding guitars and I don't own this one yet, so anything to help my understanding of whats out there is greatly appreciated.
It looks like they got a lot of things right with this model. About the only complaint that I have heard is that the tilt sensor is still an accelerometer and thus is made to be ambidexterous friendly. This also makes it way too sensitive for anyone holding it at a comfortable slightly tilted angle. I prefer the "ball in a tube" design that the older GH and all RB guitars have. These are easily modified to adjust a good tilt angle.

Very informative, thanks for the review! I prefer the size of the GH:WT guitar to the Les Paul one, but this new one definitely looks worth a go.
