I tried to put some WD40 on my first one and it quieted it down but not too longer completely stopped working! The whammy is also noisy because it will hit the body of the guitar when you use it. I didn't buy the GH5 guitar because it was an extra $50 over the price of the game. Although I'd like to try it, your review makes me think there was no point in making the purchase. I knew there was a new guitar and that's why I bought the guitar kit. I just got another GH:WT guitar tho.
